By Car - Helensburgh lies on the north coast of the river Clyde some fifteen miles west of Glasgow Airport and eight miles west Of Dumbarton on the A814. and can also be reached from the Loch Lomondside A814 only four miles from the Arden roundabout.
Scotrail operate the train service from Helensburgh to Glasgow and Airdrie. Trains depart from Helensburgh at 24 and 54 minutes past each hour with the journey to Glasgow Queen Street taking 42 minutres.
Glasgow Airport is the main international airport for Scotland and is only some fifteen miles from Helensburgh via the Erskine Bridge
Prestwick Airport, some forty miles by road, offers an alternative air facility with limited destinations.
Calmac Ferries link Helensburgh, Kilcreggan and Gourock with a ferry service of four sailings per day from Helensburgh and twelve from Kilcreggan to Gourock, Monday to Saturday. See the Calmac timetable for full details.
