Meeting Special Needs

Parklands School
27 Charlotte St., Helensburgh
Tel: 01436 673714

This school caters for Pre-school age children with special educational needs. The aim is to assess the child’s abilities and needs and to begin to address those needs. As the child reaches school age a comprehensive assessment is completed and a recommendation is made for an appropriate first school placement.

Facilities include a hydrotherapy pool, soft play environment, outdoor play equipment and a wide range of specialist equipment. There is a parent staff association and a respite care scheme.

The respite care scheme is currently being extended with a dedicated off-site facility to provide better residential and sleeping accommodation
