Scotrail operate the train service from Helensburgh to Glasgow and Airdrie. Trains depart from Helensburgh at 24 and 54 minutes past each hour with the journey to Glasgow Queen Street taking 42 minutres.
Scotrail also operate the West Highland Line with trains travelling from London through Helensburgh to Oban, Fort William and Mallaig.
Calmac Ferries link Helensburgh, Kilcreggan and Gourock with a ferry service of four sailings per day from Helensburgh and twelve from Kilcreggan to Gourock, Monday to Saturday. See the Calmac timetable for full details.
Glasgow Airport is the main international airport for Scotland and is only some seventeen miles from Helensburgh via the Erskine Bridge. Car hire is available from the airport terminal or public transport into Glasgow and train from Queen Street Station.
Prestwick Airport, some forty miles by road, offers an alternative air facility with limited destinations.
